Well, I cam here in 2007 as a student. I loved it, so I finished school and came back in 2008 to teach English. I've been doing that, plus a lot of freelance work, for 5 years. Recently I got a promotion to an assistant manager at one of our branches. So I will be focusing on that + photography of course!
Not even close, haha! To be honest, for my first 4 years or so in Japan I barely studied. I kept thinking I would leave some day and I always put it off. Finally, I got my ass in gear a few months ago and now I'm getting much better. It's a long hard road to fluency.
Haha yeah I think that's what happens to most people who end up somewhere longer than expected, one day you realize you've been there for a long time and can hardly get your point across without sounding like a child! Keep working hard
Haha, after seeing your piece "Hooligans" I've been staring at the ground in all your shots and the curved bricklaying in this one really makes me happy. It makes it seem like he's in the middle of a pond and his music is causing ripples, and the lighting adds to the underwater sort of feel, as does the glassy reflections to the right. This piece has a mysterious feel to it; I like it!
