Torii at Fushimi Inari Shrine by burningmonk Torii at Fushimi Inari Shrine by burningmonk
Not the best photo of this place, but I arrived in the late afternoon and it was super crowded. Next time I'll show up at dawn. :D

I the variation in lighting in this, very close to the camera there seems to be shade but some sunlight illuminates the torii further along the path.

I'm happy that it works. The sun was coming and going behind some clouds, and the crowd was moving through as well. :D

I'm quite happy with this one, but I try to be a perfectionist. I was hoping for better light and no people. :D

Hehe, that may be so, but I try to aim for perfection. I once heard a good saying "Perfect is the enemy of good but good enough is the enemy of great!" :D I'm always trying to do better than myself. :D

Having people in the frame doesn't bother much I think ^^ it adds a pinch of mystery (anyway we can't see the silhouettes so, let call'em "ghosts")

I like the way you look at it. Though I'd have been happier with some kimono clad guys and gals coming through. But it's okay, I'm happy with the photo overall, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. :D Live and learn, and there is always next time! :D
