I actually had some sushi a couple of days ago and to be honest...

It can be hit or miss. Depends on how fresh the fish is I believe. :D

yeah I'm pretty sure you are correct.
I also think it had to do with the won-ton noodles and fried rice (it was at a all you can eat buffet) .-P

I think it's the lighting and the mood. I look for scenes in Tokyo that remind me of Blade Runner. This one almost fits the bills. And BTW, it's a Tempura shop, deep fried veggies and seafood. :D

Isn't tempura a batter?

I don't know what the literal meaning of the kanji is, but tempura refers to deep friend veggies and seafood. :D

Ah . . . I was almost right, then. :aww: I love seafood! And veggies! Yey, I'm starting to like their food already. Yum. Not sure about the whole deep-fried thing, though . . . I generally prefer my fish au natural and my veggies as they were found in the ground (minus the dirt, obviously).

I agree, but tempura is actually quite light despite being deep fried. They actually have fried shrimp here called "ebi fry" and it's completely different from tempura shrimp. Perhaps it's the batter? I dunno. :D
