Clearly an assassin with a dagger hidden in the bag.

Maybe you can offer some insight... I've seen the face mask on a lot of people in a lot of pictures from Japan. If someone wore a face mask in the states people would think the person was sick, not that they are trying to avoid getting sick. Is it just socially acceptable to wear it over there? What are they communally afraid of?

They are sick. Only sick people wear masks. It's a courtesy to those around you to wear a mask because it keeps your germs away from everyone else. :D

I see. I thought it was a socially exceptable unconscious fear they had of viruses and such. But in fact they are being conscientious about one another. Cool. Never happen here. We just cough and sneeze our asses off regardless.

I especially appreciate the contrast of the crosswalk angles with this one conservative looking subject who doesn't follow the flow of the image.

I like the way he look - gazing at the future with purposeful step. :)

English is hard language. I can`t really found enough similar translating words to express myself correctly enough. For example I say *вперил поглед в бъдещето с целеустремена походка* and nearest translation should be "gazing at the future with purposeful step" but if this sentence gets translated back to my language sound completely different, lol!

And yes, great lights :D

Yeah, the translation is odd, but I think I know what you mean. He has his eye on a distant goal and no obstacle can stop him. I see it too! Glad you like it! :D

Great shot. Semi dramatic. Feels like an ad poster.

Hey, just wondering, why are people in Shinjuku wearing masks? Is it because of the Fukushima disaster, or a pollution issue?

As Taavi said. But also, it's allergy season.

Out of consideration for other people. You wear it not to infect others if you are ill (or perhaps have a slight cold).

Man that light is amazing! As said before, it does have a cinematic quality. It looks completely setup but clearly isn't. Great shot!!

BTW, it seems to me that a lot of the light is reflective off of glass buildings, windows, and shiny surfaces. Is that the case?

That is indeed the case! I specifically stopped to get a shot of someone in this light. This man happily 'obliged.' :D

I love that light as well. It might come from the reflection of some high-rises. Perfect
